Ski Day
We will be going back to Loveland Ski Area this year. After considering other resorts with their prices, variety and levels of the slopes, and locations, this seems to be the best place for us to go as a group. If for some reason your group would rather ski at another location, please contact Pastor Jono and he can direct you to other great ski locations and pricing options. Hopefully the information below will be helpful.
Lift Ticket Costs
The lift ticket costs this year will be $51 per adult (19+), $46 per teen (15-18 years old), and $26 (6-14 year old). This group deal is actually very good considering the regular window price for a lift ticket bought at other ski resorts are usually more than $100 each. Ski lessons are also available but must be purchased separately and will cost about $100 (rentals included).
Groups can pay for ski trip and receive their tickets at any time during the tournament (see Pastor Jono) or on Monday morning…It just makes it a lot easier for everybody if you do it before Monday morning.)
Medical Liability Release Waiver
Everybody participating in the ski day (and driving in a Woodside vehicle) will be required to fill out a release waiver. Anybody less than 18 years old will need to have their parents sign the release form and bring it with them. Another option would be to have the parent give the team sponsor written permission to sign the release form. Download HERE (Adobe PDF)
Clothing and Helmet Rentals:
Loveland has a limited supply of Ski clothing that is available for rental. If interested, you can reserve them for personal use. You will need to line this up on your own, in advance. The phone number for Loveland is (800) 736-3SKI or their website is skiloveland.com
Ski/Snowboard Rentals
Ski/Snowboard rentals should be picked up on Sunday afternoon and returned either Monday night or Tuesday morning. Your group is welcome to rent skis at Loveland Ski Area but they are slightly more expensive and it takes away “precious” ski time (same phone # as above). (The benefit would be that no transportation of equipment would be needed.) Ski Rentals will cost anywhere from $20-$25+ in town, and $27-$40 at Loveland. Here is a list of places that we generally consider when renting.
Lenny’s Supreme Ski Rental (Best Price)
2601 S. Parker Road, Aurora, CO 80014
1 block South of Havana on Parker Rd
303-369-5900
Colorado Ski & Golf Aurora (Best Selection = $27-$35 and up)

Store Hours: Monday - Friday 9am to 8pm, Saturday 9am to 6pm, Sunday 11am to 5pm
Ski Lessons
If interested you are more than welcome to take Ski/Snowboard lessons, but you will need to arrange those on your own. The phone # for reserving lessons at Loveland is 800-736-3SKI (or their website is skiloveland.com)

Transportation
The Woodside Baptist Youth Group will have some available seating in our vans but for the most part we will need to rely on the transportation that the individual quiz groups are using to get everyone up to Loveland. We will, however, have a trailer along which has the capacity to transport all ski/snowboard equipment. On Monday morning at Woodside, directions will be given, as well as a specific route through town and up the mountains.
Meals
All meals on Monday need to be provided by the individual groups. Although they are somewhat expensive, lunches can be purchased at the Loveland Lodge. Another option is to bring up your own lunches and place them in lockers (or with a representative in the lodge) while you ski. For Dinner we will stop by a Mall on the western side of Denver which has several fast food establishments in the food court. We will give the group about 45 min to spread out in the food court before we head back down the mountain. (Your group may want to head straight back, and that is fine.)
